My love for design began with interior architecture.
This project stemmed from my firsthand experience with the challenges of sampling and how Material Bank revolutionized the process.
The platform is undoubtedly innovative, but after engaging with it for over three years, I developed my own perspective on its limitations and opportunities for improvement.
Usability Study | Test
To test my assumptions, I started by conducting a usability study, observing four designers complete the following assigned task:
Imagine you are in the discovery phase of a new project and want to research and compare materials. Using Material Bank, select five products and create a mood board to share with your team.
Usability Study | Document & Sort
I then documented and sorted my observations, citing designer's pain points, thoughts, and suggestions.
UX Audit
Building on the intel from the usability study, I conducted a UX audit to map the specific areas contributing to designer's pain points.
